Pros: Design, Construction, Material Quality, Sharpness, Overall Quality, None
Cons: Sharpenability
My mother had a similar one for at least 30years but it had a cheap plastic handle which finally was irreparable. I found this one online and bought us both one. She was thrilled, but I can't tell you how many times she has cut a finger, so be careful. It really cuts well.

Just like Mom's
This style knife has been a favorite of my mother for years. Had to have one when I saw it. Works great on tomatoes and other soft vegetables. Would not use on anything hard or on meats.

works
I have used it to cut tomatos, and the serrated edge makes quick work of puncturing the skin. The shape seems to lend itself well to the task it was made to accomplish. This knife really cuts the mustard. Never a dull moment. Blade is shiny, too, which may help hold your interest lest ye eyes be wandering toward other things like Playboy Channel or Nat'l Geographic as the blade comes close to your fingers. Oh yeah, it is nice and flexible, too--another good quality for this one.
