Buck Knives
Grant and Gavin Hawk have a new lock system, the SLS (Strong Lock System, catchy huh?), and they have matched it up with this great Buck design. This US made knife also features 154CM steel and a ball bearing system for quick and quiet opening. The Marksman is a serious tactical offering from Buck.
When Buck designed the Marksman, the features included definitely deliver one of the strongest locking blades available for tactical operatives. Utilizing the locking mechanism developed by Grant and Gavin Hawk, the SLS (Strong Lock System) is one of the strongest locking mechanisms on the market. The SLS, once deployed offers the strength of a fixed blade knife. An innovative ball bearing pivot system allows for quick and easy opening by simply sliding one finger along the lock strap. Fully opening the blade securely engages the SLS. With a hefty blade of 154CM steel and a solid aluminum handle, the Marksman is designed for heavy tactical operations.

Super buck
This knife is very comfortable while in your hand. The blade is outstanding and is so sharp I can shave with it. The blade lock is very different, however, is very secure and functional. The knife is handsome and very manly.

Cons: Lock Ease of Use, None
This is a high quality very sharp knife, just as I would expect from Buck. HOWEVER! And some peeps will get a laugh out of this but, the freely opening and closing blade is a little trouble for an older semi- arthritic and probably uncoordinated guy like me. A couple of times I've nicked myself pretty doggone good when I Flip it and a finger is even slightly in the way and it bounces back closed.. OUCH! GET THE FIRST AID KIT! A really great sharp , well built knife and a cool idea, but BE CAREFUL! I've just put this back into my knife collection box, in it's original Buck Knife box. What little bit I've used it for cutting boxes and stuff, it's a darned fine knife.

Awesome knife
This has been my sole EDC now for about 6 months. I really enjoy working the knife and it looks good doing it too. It opens/closes smooth as silk.
