Buck Knives
The perfect balance of weight and design give this knife the smoothest one-handed, manual action on the market. Offered with Rubberized scales and 420HC Satin Finish blade.
  • One-Handed Opening - Has a thumb stud, blade hole or other feature to facilitate one-hand use. Some models are one-hand opening and one-hand closing as well.
  • 420HC Steel - This is Buck's standard blade material because it approaches the wear resistance of high carbon alloys while delivering the corrosion resistance of chromium stainless steels. Add our exclusive heat-treat process and you have a very user-friendly combination of superior corrosion resistance with excellent strength for wear resistance and durability. You also have a blade that is easy to resharpen. For best performance we harden to a Rockwell hardness of Rc 58.
  • Drop Point - This blade is full bellied with a strong, thick point for heavier tasks. It can also be used as a general work knife. The top of the blade drops down toward the tip, which minimizes accidental puncturing while skinning. The drop point blade is strong and very versatile.
  • Blade Length: 3-1/2" (8.9 cm)
  • Blade Material: Satin Finish 420HC Stainless Steel
  • Carry System: Black, heavy duty nylon sheath
  • Handle Material: Steel frame with rubberized sides
  • Length Closed: 5" (12.7 cm)

Pros: Ease of Opening, Handle Material, Weight, Sheath, Overall Quality, Handle Feel, Blade Sharpness
Cons: None
How useful!!
A good solid weight in the hand, feels quality, robust. The blade is razor sharp straight out of the bag, opening action perfect but the locking liner a bit stiff, but after use has eased up a bit. I actually like it being a bit stiff, gives me more confidence that it will do it's job. I've only used it to cut string, slice rope, trim twigs all of which it has done without any problem. Not had the knife long so have not had the time or situations to test it fully as an edc but would imagine it would cope well from what little use that I have put it through so far.

Nice quality for the price
This is an attractive and nice quality nice, especially for the price. A little bulky to put in your pocket d/t rubber grips. I got mine for a backup to another folder that I carry. I keep it at home for jobs around the house and yard.

Pros: Blade Sharpness, Ease of Opening, Lock Ease of Use, Blade Material, None
Cons: Weight, Handle Material
Great blade, poor handle steel
The blade is great, but the steel under the scales rusts pretty easily even when used in dry conditions most of the time.
