Excellent Knife
This is my second Buck Redpoint knife. The first one was purchased years ago as a gift for my son and I borrowed it so many times that it just became my daily user. I use it for everything . Easily used with just one hand. It holds its edge well. This new one will now be another gift for my son. Knifecenter.com is a great company to buy from - good pricing, excellent communication on order status and product gets here quick.

Favorite General Carry Blade
I was initially drawn to the positive safety feature of having to actively engage the release to open/release the blade (i.e., it won't inadvertently open in your pocket), as well as the color, as it was intended to be my primary work blade out in the field, and I've lost many other non-colored blades in the field. Next, the ease and speed of opening the knife with one hand - very smooth and fast, and finally, the steel - one of the easiest knives I've ever had as far as honing a keen edge, and it keeps the edge well, razor sharp. I wish every knife I own (of which I have many) had as excellent a steel as does this knife. I do like multi-purpose/function knives, esp. Swiss........but as far as having a functional work knife for cutting rope, heavy plastic sheeting, canvas........and more.........this is the best blade for the price on the market, bar none.............
