Good quality knives
I purchased this item over a year ago and figured I've had them long enough to give a short review . I initially wanted a basic block set for the Kitchen and was familiar with Chicago Cutlery . I know this item is made in China but I thought Chicago Cutlery wouldn't want garbage with their name on it . After over a year with this knife set , I'm thrilled !! I do a super majority of the cooking in my home and these knives have the ability to sharpen easily and keep an edge for a good amount of time . I use a smiths sharpener , btw . The handle material is fine , These knives are holding up well to daily use and show no sign of degradation in any way . For the money , I cant imagine anything better . This is a safe and reasonably priced block set

Razor's edge
The product was a gift for my cousin as she is considering culinary school. I was amazed at the extremely sharp edge that the blades come with. These are the minimum knives used for food prep without having the steak knives; which are used for serving only.
