Pros: Handle Material, Blade Sharpness, Handle Feel, Overall Quality
A really nice knife
This is my first Case knife, and I know a lot of people collect these. However, I bought this Trapper Hunter to use as a tool when camping, hiking, and fishing. I feel it is a really functional well made knife... what else would you expect from Case? I chose this knife because of the tool options it offered. It's kind of like a little mini tool. The knife blade is super sharp right out of the box. The fact that it only has one blade doesn't bother me, and I actually prefer it that way. I don't rely on this knife as my only blade option when out in the field, it's one of several, but it serves it's purpose. I'm not much of a hunter, but I still like the gut hook because I can use it to cut rope / cord. By doing that, I keep the knife blade sharp for other cutting or whittling tasks. The saw blade also seems really well made and sharp, and the tip of the saw blade is flat so it can be used as a flat head screwdriver. I'm sure the handle material is different on each knife, but I really like the pattern and color of the handles on the knife I got. There aren't locks on this knife but when you fold out a blade it pops into place and feels really sturdy. It's certainly a very visually appealing knife, but very functional. I would recommend this knife to anyone looking for a really solid / useable tool.
