Great value
I bought this for my wife, then immediately stole it! I've used it to field dress, skin and butcher 2 deer already. I have a lot of knives, but for processing meat, this one just ticks all the boxes. It's sharp, really sharp, and it keeps the edge. It's strong enough to cut in through bones and pry apart joints. The handle is a little small, but not slippery so you can trust your grip when your hands are bloody. I haven't used it for processing wood yet, but I have no doubt it will perform well there too. I have used it to cut thick plastic, and rope and it did just fine at that. As to the sheath, it's just fine. It's sturdy for what it is, and I see no reason to complain about it. This is a hunting knife, not a Rambo knife, and a deer carcass doesn't care if your sheath matches your tacticool ar15. Buy this knife. Just do it, you will not be sorry

Be alot better with leather sheath.
I wish Camillus would just go ahead and throw in the leather sheath they have on their website with this knife.Instead,Camillus charges an additional $16.99 t s/h,for it.It's worth it to go ahead and get it,but it Should come standard. The nylon sheath the knife comes with is poor, and the bare minimum. It will start to fray, and show wear and tear immediately around the strap. It holds the knife ok,but is made of poor materials..As far as the knife goes,it is a solid, attractive fixed blade. The bamboo handles are a nice touch.Their not as slick as one would think, and are comfortable. The blade comes razor sharp,is full tang, and is just about the ideal size for a hunting knife.I'm not a big fan of Aus8 steel, but if HT'd properly, and this knife seems to be,than it is a serviceable steel, and should be more than enough to get the job done. The fit & finish is pretty good for a knife at this price, and the ergos are good too.Overall,if it came with the nice heavily stitched leather sheath Camillus offers on their website, and the price stayed the same,i'd gladly give it 5
