Pros: Ease of Use, Blade Sharpness, Blade Material
Cons: Overall Quality, None
I haven't gotten to take this knife out in the woods yet but I notice some problems right out of the package. The knife itself is good enough. My problem lies with the sheath. It appears as though it could be worn for a right handed or left handed person. Mine was left handed... I don't know if they have a left handed version and I picked it up by accident or what. (The notch inside the sheath is what I'm referring to). So I got out my dremel took and made it fit both right and left... The fire steel is not the best I own but it does spark good enough.

artic survival knife by les stroud
i am active outdoorsman hunt fish etc. in a variety of climates ranging from frigid cold in montana to the arid arizona desert. i do alot walking, climbing, riding. i was intrested in an all around knife for number of tasks-gutting-camp chores and the biggest conncern is the sheath the knife simply does not lock up,i feel it should and would not be hard to acheive.once you release the velcro strap and invert the sheath the knife simply falls out.the position of the fire starter is a definate tangle situation, crawling through thick brush and you are getting hung up. now the knife, comfortable grip the blade seems thick enough and it is certainly sharp, once i put it through the paces i will determine if it holds that edge.all in all the knife seems finely crafted i like the slot for the firestarter.

Nice knife
This is a good general purpose knife. Seems rugged, and the gray color makes it look civilian, which is good at times.
