Leather Sheath
Leather Sheath
Leather is known for its durability and traditional appeal. When compared to Kydex it is preferred for its silence when bumped against other objects, as well as blade retention.

Cool Blade
This knife is like a Cold Steel Bushman on steroids. Longer, heavier, and thicker. It's not flexible like the Bushman. Mine came sharp out of the box. The sheath is made from quality leather but provides no friction. Not that great for a friction sheath, so it needs to be fixed. The cord wrapping seems to be very durable. The hollow handle is not round like the Bushman's handle, it is oval. So it fits better in the hand, but may be more work if you want to put the Matagi on a stick to make a spear.
