Leather Sheath
Leather Sheath
Leather is known for its durability and traditional appeal. When compared to Kydex it is preferred for its silence when bumped against other objects, as well as blade retention.
Wood Handles
Wood Handles
Provides a traditional, natural look and feel to a modern tool. Wood absorbs shock well and is popular in axe handles.

Pros: Sheath/Scabbard, Finish, Blade Material, Materials
Cons: None
Heavy utility knife, great for chopping.
I bought two of these knives to be used as chopping tools in place of a hatchet or small axe. The factory grind on these blades is sufficient for the tasks I had in mind, those being cutting through thick branches, small diameter deadfalls, etc. They performed well in these tasks without my having to touch up the edges. Although at some point I will refine the edges slightly to achieve a deeper bite into the wood with each strike. The leather sheath is very nice and I like how the belt loop rotates on the fastening rivet. The only negative points I have regarding the sheaths are that the blade fits a little tight and that they are one handed, no right / left hand option. The handles are comfortable. I can use these blades with either hand for hours, with or without gloves, and not get any blisters. They are heavy tools, but not unwieldy.

Condor Kukri 10"
Haven't used this one yet, but will. Was very disappointed with how dull the cutting edge is, will have to sharpen it, but overall I am pleased with it. Like the weight of it, should chop through stuff very well. Again, well pleased with the cost savings.

Pros: Sheath/Scabbard, Handle Material, Blade Material, Materials, Weight, Overall Quality, None
Cons: Blade Sharpness, Finish
Not what I expected
While it is a fine blade with a solid construction and sturdiness that can handle the toughest working environments, the blade itself was poorly sharpened and not as refined as originally promised. The blade edge is rough, poorly sharpened, and while still has a sharp edge, seems as though it was sharpened with a very coarse surface by amateur hands. As an Australian citizen, this product was NOT worth the $140 price tag, including delivery.
