Pros: Blade Material, Lock Type, Overall Quality, Ease of Opening, Handle Feel, Weight, Lock Ease of Use, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Pocket Clip, Blade Sharpness, None
For a 1st, not bad...
Like the heading says, this is my 1st outing w/CRKT. I would like to point out I bought the knife from a Big 5 outlet store for 19.99. Not bad considering my rule of never anything more than $30 for a folder. I like the steel type, 8cr13MOV stainless. I have a couple of Kershaw & Gerber folders of the same steel. Easy to resharpen w/good edge retention. I liked the overall size & feel of the knife. Reminds me of a small fixed blade, & the locking mech actually does render it so. My 2 cons about the knife was that i purchased the serrated version which breaks one of my rules of edge design/preference. Next is the pocket clip placement. It just my personal taste to have the clip positioned tip-up, not tip-down. Other than that i kinda re-profiled the edge to resemble the serrations TOPS put on some of their edges. Besides my 2 knit-picks, it sharpens easy enough, outstanding edge retention, & w/the edge mod it slices better in my opinion.
