Chris Reeve Knives
Continuing the proud tradition of Chris Reeve Knives honoring elite military, the Reeve/Harsey collaboration - the Pacific - is the civilian version of a knife created to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne).
Based in Ft. Lewis, WA, 1SFG(A)'s theater of operations is Asia and the Pacific, so the name Pacific has been chosen to honor the home and work place of these fine soldiers.

Featuring a gray KG Gun-Kote 6" clip point blade and a handle of durable, textured, black canvas Micarta, the Pacific is available with or without a double row of serrations on both sides of the blade to cut aggressively through fibrous material. Top 10 military knives ever made in the history of mankind.
The only thing average about this knife is the weight, on par other knives this size, at around 320 grams. The rest is excellent. This is a rarer / less known knife than the Green Beret, and , as I understand it, it is because it costs more money to make. Casuals and the general populace who dont particularly enjoy knives might find this good ant that's it, but to the cautious observer, you just can see so many details and care that you just dont see in many other knives. This knife is the opposite of spartan. It is the most thought out knife I know. Handle is very comfortable, textured and finished at the guard with a ramp, for easily getting closer to the blade. The choil is flawless and very comfortable, even the first tooth of the serrations is blunt, so you dont accidentally cut yourself choking on it. That is 10/10 refinement right there. The tip is pointy and sharp, more than the Green Beret. So is the butt of the knife. The jimping works but is inobtrusive when not using it. The serrations are superbly thought out. They work but are also able to featherstick and peel fruit. This is because they're not just indentations ground off the main blade, they are alternative dents with a little straight edge in between. This is wonderful and clever, since it means they can be perfeclty sharpened along the main edge!. I would not shill for a knife so much If I didnt truly believe in it, and I truly believe on this one. The magical thing that blows this one away from others is balance. As I said at the start, this knife is no heavier or lighter than competitive choices, say like a Randall 14 or a Fallkniven A1. However, it feels lighter than it is. I swear I am not making this up. It feels "alive" and gracious. I'd usually be ashamed of speaking such wonders and no flaws about anything, but this is the exception. As for the steel, some say it is ridiculously soft and badly heat treated, but for me and every other CRK user I know, they give absolutely 0 trouble. It is also stainless, which is a must in some places. The gunkote is a very nice choice. It is not grainy and lasts. Even though CRK says the kives are gray with black canvas micarta, they all look bluish-grey with green micarta. The signature colors of CRKs. The worst part? the sheath, while being top notch (and usually the choice for many top brands that dont make sheaths themselves) is not perfect. First, it comes in ACUPAT camo color. Second, it comes with string instead of paracord. I use it and I feel it needs a good custom kydex sheath that is less bulky and more versatile. Perfect military knife (when the situtation demands a fixed blade), and a competitor to Busse, Randall, Spartan and similar quality brands.

Cons: Blade Sharpness, None
Beautiful but a bit disappointed in sharpness
A beautiful knife and waited 3 months for it after ordering. Great weight and incredible craftmanship. Solid. A bit disappointed in it's sharpness though. Won't cut the hair on my arm, which I am surprised about. Used to having knives being very sharp when coming from the factory. Otherwise I am happy with my purchase.
