CRM1612ZLEK: M16-12ZLEK - Kit Carson Design
Columbia River

We have produced Kit Carson's popular M16® line in many variations over the past decade. Our Zytel® version has built the largest user base of all. These knives are built for function, not fad, and they are exceptional values.

Our new M16 ZLEK line uses our very successful InterFrame construction, with tough, textured Zytel® scales over a 420J2 stainless steel liner InterFrame and solid Zytel back spacers. We assemble the handle with superior offset Torx® fasteners.

For professional use, we've added a seat belt cutter to the Carson Flipper, and a tungsten carbide window breaker at the butt. Automobile side windows shatter with one quick whack from the butt of the knife.

All components receive a tough tactical black coating. The Flipper can be pressed for fast one-hand opening, and creates a blade guard when open. We use our premium AUS 8 high-carbon stainless steel for the blades, which have Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point™ Serrated edges to easily cut rope, cord, canvas, and vegetation.

All three models are fitted with our exclusive patented* AutoLAWKS™ safety, which automatically makes them into virtual fixed blades when the blade is opened and locked.

M16®-12ZLEK. This is our smaller Tanto-blade version. The very strong blade grind makes a compact and versatile rescue folder. A black stainless steel two-position pocket/gear clip is included.

Full professional features. Non-reflective black finish. Exceptional affordability.

Clive is wrong
Excellent out of the box knife, glass breaker, belt cutter. Bought about 2 years ago and has been my EDC since then. The auto lawks, which keeps it from accidentally closing on your hand while in use, is great. With a little practice closing it with one hand is second nature and requires no thought. For under $60 it is a great knife / tool. Makes a great Xmas gift! I bought 2 in case I loose one...which has not yet happened.

the worst
The most terrible design I've ever seen. The flipper because of the stupid string cutter is way to big, that dumb red button for releasing the lock, another useless design that makes it almost impossible to close one handed, and the action is the worst I've seen on any knife.
