Cold Steel 12CT Safe Keeper III gets the job done with style
Many years ago I trained in martial arts that exposed me to extensive knife fighting. I've carried a knife daily for most of my career. Now that I'm retired my EDC knife choice has shifted and I'm very comfortable with the Cold Steel 12CT in my front pocket. I had the chance to meet Lynn Thompson back when he was starting Cold Steel. Mr. Thompson shares the love for edged martial arts and saw a need to build quality dependable knives that you can depend on. Everything about this knife is good. Constructed from one piece of steel is ideal and this particular Kraton handle fits my hand perfectly. Being a single blade has it's legal advantages. I agree that the sheath definitely has room for improvement. Alternate sheath choices would be advantageous. I have a relative who has "special skills training" and works daily to defend our country. He loves "T" handle knives for the compact size as they end up on the front of his vest. I wish that Knife Center would list the size of the palm portion of the "T" handle. All Cold Steel push knives do not share the same size palm portion and the smaller "T" handle found on some of the other knives moves around too much in my hand.
