Cold Steel
All of the knives featured in our Battle Ready Classics Series have been made by Cold Steel® for many years and are well proven in the field as well as in hand to hand combat. Frankly, we have been scratching our heads trying to figure out how we could improve them without drastically raising their price.

The answer was to offer them in our famous San Mai III® steel. Made in Japan according to our strict standards since the mid 1980's, San Mai III® has proven unsurpassed in strength, toughness, sharpness and ease of re-sharpening. Over the years, other "super steels" have come and gone but San Mai III® remains as the most proven high performance stainless steel in the world. If you want a combat knife you can bet your life on, and reasonably priced, check out our Battle Ready series as we have the knife for you.

Pros: Materials, Handle Material, Blade Material, Finish, Weight, Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Sheath/Scabbard, None
Un coltello eccellente, una lama straordinaria . Se proprio devo trovare un difetto, direi l'impugnatura, l'avrei fatta leggermente più grande. Un coltello così, forse meritava un fodero migliore. Comunque il tutto molto bello. Awesome knife. Excellent blade. Perhaps it deserved a bigger handle. Ciao.

Knife is corroding and scratching
The overall knife size and handling is decent. Blade arrived with a poor uneven grind, but you get what you pay for since this is a less expensive knife. Problem started with the blade showing severe scratches on both sides at the end of the blade. Appears to be a design flaw with the sheath. Then I thought, how could plastic scratch steel? I double checked and no rocks or debris in sheath. A couple of days ago, I brought the knife out to admire and noticed several pock marks all over the blade. Contacted Cold Steel and no reply. Super bummed on their customer service. Knife is about 1 year old.

Pros: Sheath/Scabbard, Handle Material, Weight, Blade Material
Cons: Finish, None
I use this knife for everything from chopping vines and brush, to cutting open packages. Perfect for every task, this is the knife I would bet my life on! Would have liked to know about the cosmetic defect on the blade but not a huge deal, minor defect. Thank you!
