Cold Steel
Awesome is the only adjective that even begins to describe the Cold Steel Laredo Bowie. In fact, it really has to be seen to be appreciated, since mere words just don't do it justice. It features a long, heavy blade made from vacuum heat-treated VG-1 San Mai III blade construction, which is flat ground to produce incredible cutting power and perfect balance. And, as an added bonus, it is given an absolutely ferocious cutting edge that terminates in a dagger sharp point.

To further enhance its versatility and efficiency as a weapon, it sports a four and a half inch long sharpened clip point that helps facilitate the deadly back cut, as well as a wide variety of more conventional cuts and stabbing attacks.

The rich, polished black Micarta handle is as tough as it is beautiful. It is specially contoured to fit the hand like a glove and to provide a positive grip when cutting, chopping or thrusting.

To complement the Laredo's incredibly sharp blade and superb handle, Cold Steel has carefully forged a unique guard and integral bolster out of a single piece of brass. Both bolster and guard are handsomely detailed and are finished with a fine mirror polish.

To keep your Laredo Bowie safely at your side and ready for action, Cold Steel has provided a traditionally styled black leather scabbard that features heavy stitching, brass rivets, thick leather, and a convenient brass belt peg so you can safely slip the sheath under your belt.

Best Bowie Knife I have ever owned
I use this knife in the field, and since I spend most of my time there, I have decades of experience with edged instrument. This knife is perfectly made. The belly is full, and the cutting, and slashing prowess of this knife is beyond reproach. She is exceptionally well balanced, and razor sharp right out of the box. I have chopped up 1/4 cord of wood, and she's loving every inch of it. I would take this perfectly balanced knife to battle, survival, defense, or general cutting purposes. The handle is gorgeous, and I just love this blade. The length to weight ratio is unbelievably excellent. The fit and finish is head and shoulders above the comparable competition. If you are seeking a knife that you can use for your life, this is it. I give it my highest recommendation. Cold Steel doesn't make a substandard product. My diving knife is 20 years old, and still in perfect service with minimal maintenance. That's what you can expect from Cold Steel: EXCELLENCE!

Great knife but disappointing sheath.
This knife is amazing. The only negative thing I could say about it is the sheath is just awful. Not only does the knife not fit it, it doesn't easily securely attach to your belt. The knife itself is well worth every cent.
