The Estwing Large Camper's Axe is designed for hunters, campers, and outdoorsmen who need a full sized, all-in-one axe without any added frills. Measures 26-1/4" overall, with a 9" rubber handle, and 4-1/8" beveled cutting edge. The rectangular hammer on the back of the axe is 1" wide by 1-3/4" tall, perfectly designed for tapping in tent stakes. American forged in one piece out of genuine American steel. Each axe is made to last a lifetime comes with a nylon sheath.

Best all-purpose axe for travel.
I keep this axe in my truck. It has proven itself over and over and over again, from just going camping, or even to when a hurricane rolls through. I can’t say enough about it. And I’m not saying there would ever be an apocalyptic catastrophe, but if there were, I’m sure as all get out I would take this puppy with me.

4 Decades of Awesomness
My grandfather got this axe in the 70's, it's 2012 now and I still use this axe daily. It's easy to sharpen, keeps an edge long and gets a razor sharp edge. The handle is some kind of rubber and unless wearing gloves, you get blisters very easily. This thing is built like a tank. I recomend this axe to anyone who needs a semi-compact workhorse that can chop weekends worth of firewood on backpacking trips or car camping.GET THIS AXE!
