Pros: Blade Material, Blade Sharpness, Handle Material, Sheath/Scabbard
2 years on, still one of the best knives I've owned
I must admit that I was skeptical about the 127CM steel that the knife is made out of. I'd read reviews that said that the quality of an edge in this steel is really dependent on how well it is heat treated, but that it is a fine grained steel that can work very well. Well, my knife is very well heat treated and holds an edge sharper and longer than almost all of my customs. Compared to my D2, 1095, Aus8 or VG10 I had expected it not to hold an edge that well. I was very pleasantly surprised, I have used it to cut multiple large packing cardboard boxes, rope, plastic, webbing, just about everything really and it is has still been very easy to sharpen to razor keenness. It came very sharp out of the box. It is ergonomic, comfortable to use for long periods, sharpens easily and stays sharp and the sheath is really nice. Overall I'm super happy with it. I definitely recommend it. My only beef is that I wish the sheath was brown leather, not black.
