Emerson Knives
Symmetry, grace and power. These three words describe the Emerson Model A-100 folding knife perfectly. When Ernest Emerson first started making knives, before "tactical", he was making this pattern. He liked it then just as much as he likes it now. This knife became the archetype from which all of his other designs have evolved . It is the "father" of all Emerson tactical designs. In fact it might be the "grandfather" of all tactical knife designs that now exist. It's simple, it works and it never gives up. See for yourself.

Cons: None
Been looking for one of these for a while, and Knife Center finally had them in stock. Balance is about perfect. Doesn't feel like a 3.6" blade in the hand. No hot spots for me. Fit and finish are great. Perfect blade centering and lockup is good and tight. No blade play in any direction. Shaving sharp out of the box. Even though the blade is ground in a conventional V, the edge is still a chisel grind, which is okay by me, makes it easier to sharpen quickly. Grip is great as usual with the Emerson's, though it may be a bit hard on pockets. One thing for sure, you won't lose your grip with this one. Like the straight handles, good feel in all positions. If I had to find one thing to complain about, I guess it would be that the thumb disc is a bit harder to access than on my other Emerson's,but still opens smoothly and easily. I'll probably get one of the bigger discs that Emerson offers. That's okay though, just another way to make this one mine. I keep reading about people complaining about Emerson's build quality, but I have six now, and haven't seen any of that. I like history, and this knife has plenty of that, and I can see why it's been around so long. If you're looking for a good EDC that will last a good long time, you can't go wrong with this one. Thanks to Emerson for the great build, and thanks to Knife Center for making it available. This knife is in my top three favorite Emerson's I have, and in the top two that I would EDC.

Great Knife!
Love Emersons in general, but this thing is sleek. Everything you need in a every day carry blade, but nothing you dont.
