Emerson Knives
The CQC-7V is a double V-ground version of the infamous Emerson CQC-7B knife known the world over. This beauty features striking, coarse, tan G-10 handles holding a dramatic stone-washed CQC-7 blade that is precisely ground on both sides, front and back, giving you a razor sharp cutting machine. If you've ever thought about getting a CQC-7 but hesitated because of the chisel grind, then your wait is over.

Emerson "Wave Shaped Features"

The Emerson "wave shaped feature", also called the remote pocket opener, is the most dynamic and advanced feature ever designed for folding knives. This device allows you to open the knife literally, as it is removed from the pocket. This makes any Emerson Knife with the "wave shaped feature" the fastest deploying folding knife in the world. Faster than an automatic, your knife is open as it comes up into your hand-ready for use. The Emerson "wave shaped feature" is now officially required on all the knives Emerson supplies to the Military Combat units, Military search and Rescue units and Law Enforcement agencies.

Positively surprised!
Finish was excellent. The finish on Emersons seems to be unsatisfying for some people, but this knife was perfect. A little bigger then expected but still a reasonable size for EDC use. Sharp blade and solid Construction. The knife came with standoffs rather then a single spacer.

Excellent Knife!
I have owned this knife for about 2.5 years. I carry it about 90% of the time. I am a knifemaker. I can carry any factory, shop-made or handmade knife I want. This is the knife I carry virtually every day. I did have to put lock-tite in the pivot screw. But other than that, she's never let me down. I recommend it very highly. I own three other Emersons and a bushell full of other knives. And I plan on carrying this one virtually every day; at least until I get that 2nd Laconico...

I own another emerson that I am extremely happy with. However this knife disappointed me terribly. I may never buy another emerson product again. The finish on the handle could literally be rubbed off with my fingers just by touching it. I assumed the handles would be made in the afghan tan color all the way through. But it seems its just a paint coating applied on top. A very thin coating at that. Needless to say I never had this happen with any knife I've owned. Let alone one this expensive.
