Emerson Knives describes this item as follows:

The Police Utility Knife fulfills all of the needs for an Emerson - designed fixed blade for police and tactical utility applications. Members of the British SAS have said, "Now this is the knife we've been waiting for." Because of the design features of this knife it is perfect for the serious off road trekker, and I mean from Afghanistan to the Belgian Congo. The knife features a short, stout blade with an extremely strong V grind and is honed to razor sharpness. The handle features a deep guard and positive thumb ramp designed to provide a "no slip forward" safety grip for the knife. Now available with our Dragon's Teeth serrations and a molded kydex sheath with belt clip.

Good but . ..
This is a very good knife. It is solid and feels good in the hand. I am proud to add it to my collection. It appears to be made of good metal, and the sheath/holster that comes with it is top notch. It is a very good knife, maybe even a great knife, but it is not $240+ great. I have comparable knifes at half that price. I think the price is driven by the fact that special forces use this knife.

Emerson Utility
This is my first Emerson so...quality seems to be there. knife has good weight and balance. Great features for utility use. I picked it up cause it is the closest thing to my ideal knife. handle feels great in all grips, wish the blade was 5/32" thick though. Time will tell how tough this particular combination of materials is. Overall: great feeling knife, great utility features.
