EX135BF3: Dark Talon BF3 Series Folder
Extrema Ratio
The Basic Folder BF series from Extrema Ratio are compact-sized, lightweight offerings with all the strength of a fixed blade. They range in size from the BF1 which is the smallest at 6.73" overall, to the BF3 Dark Talon which is a whopping 10.79" overall, depending on your particular needs. However, they all share the same basic design and features. All the blades are burnished through zirconium carbonitruration and the handles are burnished through anodization, for a discreet, tactical look. The blades have flat grindings and the points are especially thick and resistant (a characteristic peculiar to this series). The "Classic" handle is full with the characteristic lowered flat zone to enable the use of the opening "pin" without emerging from the profile of the closed knife. They have a reversible, deep carry pocket clip which is among the best in the industry. The handle designs change slightly with the variations in size but all are very ergonomic and provide for a good grip even though the designs lack jimping. You will be ready for anything when you're carrying an BF folder from Extrema Ratio, they are built as strong as any folder on the market.

Perfect EDC
I have been looking for this knife for years and years. For me this is the perfect EDC. So much so that I am buying a second one just in case. The perfect EDC for me has to 1) have a pocket clip so I don't need a belt or sheath to open check. 2) it has to be beautiful and or bad ass looking, check. 3) It has to be fast to open and close one handed, check. 4) it has to be sharp and take an edge to razor sharp, check. 5) The blade has to be the perfect length with a very fine point, check. Usually pocket folders go up to four inches which I find is just a little to short then they jump to five plus inches which I feel is just to long to be practical and to bulky of a knife in the pocket. This knife blade is perfect at 4.75 inches and it is very light and is slim so is almost not noticeable in the pocket. Finally I love that it's made in Italy and not China, Japan or Taiwan. It's the only knife I want in my pocket.

But it now!
I needed a knife to carry in the evening with slacks or nicer pants and this knife works excellent. It's very slender. The knife came razor sharp and is very sturdy. It feels secure in my hand even with its narrow build. I will say if you have small hands chose another knife. I will add extreme ratio to my must look at list for future purchases.

Dark Talon
This is just a great knife. I use and collect all sorts from small pocket knives to large fixed, survival, autos etc. and also make my own. So when I am spending money on a knife I dont want the same old thing. It has to be new and inventive. The talon falls into this area. It makes a great carry knife in that is light weight, but it is long and strong and feels good in the grip. The only problem the blade came very dull, so I am waiting to hear from Extreme what angle they sharpen their knives at and I will solve that problem. Would like to see this in an auto.
