Pros: Blade Sharpness, Handle Material, Weight, Finish, None
Cons: Overall Quality, Blade Material
Didn't realize carbon steel could rust so quick
I bought four of these. They are the sharpest knives that I have owned. It is absolutely amazing. The feel, handle, weight and appearance are outstanding. The blade material is another issue. My son used it to go fishing and brought it back and it was covered with heavy rust. It was thick. I have spent four hours sanding it to try to remove it. It has pitted the knife so much that I have to use a low grit sandpaper to try to remove them. The part of the knife that I have been able to remove the pits I have used 1000 grit and just started 2000 grit sandpaper to get it polished back to the original shine. I bought a leather sheath because it didn't come with one. When I got it I put a knife in it. I didn't use it for a couple of days but when I did and pulled it from the sheath it had already rusted quite a bit. Maybe it is the leather or moisture within it. I will chalk it up to ignorance for not doing more research but just be aware of this when you get one.
