GB31001063: Bear Grylls Survival Series Ultimate Fine Edge Knife
Since its release, the excitement surrounding the Bear Grylls Ultimate Knife has been overwhelming. In 2011 the Ultimate was the best-selling knife in world. Fans and collectors, however, clamored for a non-serrated version and we listened. We now make the Ultimate Knife with a fine-edge from the top of the handle to the tip of the blade. Using the same high carbon, stainless steel drop-point blade and texturized rubber handle this is equally tough and unmistakably Bear-inspired. Housed in a nylon and hard rubber military-grade sheath, a diamond-coated knife sharpener, emergency whistle, fire starter and survival guide are all integrated. This is the Ultimate Knife that you asked for, the pinnacle of Bear’s signature line.

Pros: Overall Quality
Cons: None
Very Good
Very good knife. Have had it for around 7 years. Have used it a lot. Yes it's made in china, I know. I prefer u.s.a made knives but sometimes you will pay for them. I usually stick to case and buck. Anyway, I think this is either a mystery steel or 9cr. It takes a little time to get it sharp but holds a decent edge. Decent sheath, I've seen a lot worse. Would recommend.

Pros: Handle Material, None
Cons: Weight, Sheath/Scabbard, Blade Material
Better Options
There are better options. I have used this knife, and would not bother with it. Gerber does not use a very good steel on these knives, and the sheath needs work. Some people don't care and buy into Bear Grylls. However, I would suggest doing a little homework and getting a better product for the money.

Pros: Finish, Blade Sharpness, Overall Quality, Handle Material, Sheath/Scabbard
Cons: None
Fantastic Survival Option
I am extremely impressed with this knife. The handle is very comfortable to hold and has a sturdy grip. The blade fits in the sheath either way, which is a cool feature and it locks up tight (but not inconveniently tight). The blade came sharp and the sheath has several useful features including a survival guide case, sharpener, and fire steel. Overall, if you are into camping, backpacking or what have you, this knife is the best survival option for the price.
