Klecker Knives and Tools
The smaller NT-03A Cordovan Lite with its 2.88" blade is a perfect complement to its big brother and comes equipped with the patented Klecker Lock mechanism. The handles feature a great combination of matte finished stainless steel and layered brown G-10 insets into the handles in addition to several polished brass accents and a reversible pocket clip. The handle is slim, beautiful, and the near-straight design of the spine is extremely comfortable during use. This is definitely a stylish, compact EDC folder you can count on whenever you need a quality knife in your rotation.

Cons: Ease of Opening, Overall Quality, Weight, Blade Sharpness
Needs some work
I love the design of this knife, but for the cost it is not built very well. the finish is pretty nice but the fit is horrible. Specifically the micarta inserts do not fit against the metal well and they know it. I pulled one particularly high one to sand the back down so the edge did not catch as I rubbed across it and found a putty type of material used to disguise the poor fit of the insert used around the edges of the micarta. I was able to sand the back down to lower it to approximately where is it should be but now there is a visible gap without the putty in there. Secondly this knife needs a thumb stud. It is not a good flipper just by nature of the locking mechanism, which adds pressure the further the blade is extended during opening. I think this could be relieved a little by re-profiling the back part of the blade that travels on the lock to an oblique shape instead of just rounded. But I love the lock and could live with its poor flipping if it just had a thumb stud. Lastly this is the dullest knife I have ever purchased and I have many. I need to re-profile this edge soon. Also the back edge of this blade was almost sharper then the cutting edge. I put it on my 1 inch sander and knock down the harsh 90 degree back edges so it had a nice soft feel and wouldn't cut me. Not sure how to recommend this because I do like it. Wish they would put a little extra time into it. I have the CRKT nirk tigh 2 which has the same lock but is full length. It flips better because of the long lock creating less pressure as it opens and the blade is hair popping sharp. It was also less money than this knife. Love the Klecker lock and design of the Cordavan but maybe they need to license it to someone who can reproduce it to a higher quality.
