Outstanding Knife
I bought this knife for camping and backpacking, stainless steel because I usually do the cooking and a stainless blade is a good thing. Right out of the box, this was the second sharpest knife I've ever bought. The blade is a perfect mirror finish, the edge precisely ground. Shaved arm hair imperceptibly. The handle is soft and smooth, just beautiful.I could go on and on about this knife, but to put it simply: In my survival bag I keep an Italian combat knife that is basically a crowbar with a razor blade attached to it. Having said that, if stuff ever hits the fan, I will definitely grab THIS knife on my way out the door, because if civilization is really collapsing, it would be a disgrace to leave a knife this good behind. If you are buying this as a gift, note that it comes in a very nice cylindrical box with a cleaning cloth and a pamphlet detailing the history of the company, back to the days when a knife smith used to pedal a bike and bag of knives over a Norwegian mountain range to sell his products in neighboring towns. Very impressive looking; it will be appreciated by any outdoorsman.
