Pros: Overall Quality, Lock Type, Ease of Opening, Blade Material, Handle Material, Lock Ease of Use, Blade Sharpness, Weight, Sheath, Handle Feel, Pocket Clip
This is my first Hogue knife. It probably won't be my last. The knife is very well balanced using your pointer finger as a balancing scale between the handle and the blade itself. The knife is dangerously sharp with a thick blade spine narrowing down toward the edge. It's a cross between a flat and sabre grind. The G10 handle scales have a secure grip, yet in a different way than that of a ZT or Spyderco knife. The pocket clip is flush and not too tight. The button lock is unbelievably secure and my favorite part about that is when you open the knife, it has a unique 'ping' sound. Also, I love the fact that the manual safety slide lock on the handle locks the blade open but not closed. The last thing I want in an emergency is not being able to open my knife when I need it most. My only quibble would be that the jimping on the spine of the blade is too smooth. It should be more aggressive, but, it's better than none at all. With a little practice you can easily close this knife smoothly with one hand just like a Benchmade. By the way, the case it comes with, is pretty luxurious compared to a normal nylon sheath. Keep up the great work Hogue Knives!!
