KA1485: TDI Law Enforcement Combat Knife w/ Black Serrated Edge Tanto Blade
The TDI Law Enforcement Knife was designed by an officer with officers in mind.

Benner has trained thousands of law enforcement personnel since founding TDI in 1986. Prior to that time he served as Lieutenant of the Village of Fairfax Police Department, Coordinator of the Drug Abuse Reduction Task Force, and Tactical Field Commander of the Hamilton County Police Association Special Weapons and Tactics Team (S.W.A.T.). John has developed courses for raid tactics, tactical weapons instructor schools, defensive tactics and knife programs that are currently taught to law enforcement, military and civilian groups.

The TDI Law Enforcement Knife was designed to be used as a "last option" knife. In extreme close quarters encounters where a suspect is attempting to take an officer's handgun, or the officer cannot access his/her handgun, the TDI Knife is available. Designed as an "off hand" knife that draws like a pistol, the reversible sheath can be worn on either the right or left side of the officer's pant belt.

Pros: Materials, Handle Material, Blade Material, Finish, Weight, Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Sheath/Scabbard, None
Great knife
I love everything about this knife. Blade length, I like the half serration and how it sits in the sheath. I only wish that the sheath had the same clip as the smaller one, which I also own. The Velcro straps leave slop in the system and to draw the knife requires taking up the slop prior to the knife releasing from the sheath. Great sharp knife right out of the box, though and I use it in the woods now and save the smaller one for everyday use.

Great overall knife
I picked up this knife the other day at the local post exchange, (yes i am military) i am somewhat of a knife collector and all the knives i have are over the 4" blade rule for the barracks i live in. so i went and got this knife being somewhat skeptical about it, i only have had 1 KA BAR knife before and i loved how sharp it was out of the box, this one was no different, very sharp, the serrations are excellent and equally as sharp. im not a fan of coatings on blades but i was willing to deal with it. one thing i dont like about the sheath is how its attached, i use this knife on my gear, and as an EDC, on my gear the molle set up works just fine, but on a regular belt its pretty crappy, i definitely need to invest in the belt clip. also i am not a fan of the handle material, but thats just me, it is light weight and the shape is just fine. all around a good knife and i would recommend it for an EDC/self defense knife.

Cons: Weight, None
Great knife
this is a somewhat large and hefty knife, which can be good or bad depending on what you want (i find it to be a perfect balance between ease of carry and "toughness"). the fit and finish is great, and the blade came plenty sharp out of the box. It is definitely a very secure fit in the sheath, so make sure you practice your draw. it comes with straps for moly gear, so if you are carrying it as a citizen, i suggest the belt clip, which works wonderfully. I am able to easily and comfortably conceal it.
