Kershaw Knives

The Injection 3.0 is destined to become you new favorite pocketknife.

It offers sleek good looks—from the tip of its classic drop-point blade to its 3D-machined G-10 handle. The Injection is a collaboration between custom knifemaker Todd Rexford and Kershaw and we think the results are outstanding. Look for high-end custom details like decorative pivot hardware and machined thumbstuds. The G-10 handle has incised cutouts on each side, letting you see through to the stainless steel liners. The G-10 is textured for a secure grip. Even the backspacer offers a custom touch; it's chamfered (cut at an angle) on the back end. Another nice detail is the inset lanyard pin so nothing interrupts the smooth line of the knife. And all of this at a value price.

The 3-in. blade is the perfect size for so many day-to-day applications. Built of high-performance 8Cr13MoV, it comes razor-sharp and holds its edge well. The manual opening is smooth and easy. Once open, the blade is secured with a steel locking liner. The pocketclip is reversible for left- or right-handed carry. Want a slightly larger knife? Check out the Injection 3.5.
  • Manual - There is no mechanical assist, such as SpeedSafe, used to open the folding knife. It opens the classic, old-school way.
  • Liner Lock - Locks the blade open during use; one side of the knife's steel "liner," the steel plate to which the handle scales are attached, moves into position behind the blade to securely lock it open.
  • Reversible - Pre-drilled holes in the handle enable the user to change either the tip position or the side on which the knife carries.

8CR13 Stainless Steel
Considered a value steel, 8Cr13 steel provides adequate corrosion resistance but with slightly more carbon than AUS-8, it will sharpen up and hold an edge better.

Pros: Blade Material, Overall Quality, Ease of Opening, Weight, Lock Type, Pocket Clip, None
Cons: Handle Feel
Inexpensive, Not Cheap
The only complaint anyone can make about this knife is in the handle. It's not bad, but it could have been better. Needs jimping! The full, flat grind is excellent for getting the blade wicked sharp. It's an excellent flicker. For $12, the complaints can't be too severe. Carrying this for two weeks now and it's a good knife.

Kershaw, PLEASE redesign this as a ZT flipper!
Just received this recently, absolutely love everything about it except for one minor and one fairly major design flaw. - minor design flaw: The liner lock is so strong that in the closed position it pushes the blade off center. I really don't care much, but I know that true Knife Knerds will be distressed by this. The blade isn't pushed so far off center that it contacts anything else, so I really don't think anyone should care. - MAJOR Design Flaw: The thumb studs, which are not only not removable for sharpening/maintenance but also machined in such a fashion as to abuse the thumb, stick up so high that they block any sharpening angle more acute than approximately 19 degrees. I prefer a 15 degree bevel with a 20 degree microbevel. The true cutting potential of this blade will not be realized otherwise. Not cool, although I have resigned myself to live with it until I can scratch my Rexford itch with a different knife. Bottom Line: Get one. It's worth every penny of it's current price at least twice over.

Iluaqaaq ("its very good" in Greenlandic)
I use the Product on odds and ends, at home and on work. Although i only had it about a week for now, it has served me really well. It has a very sharp edge right out the box, nice allround finish and an amazing look for its price. The thumb studs are a super cool, but they do scratch my thumb nail so i try to stop my self opening it all the time. It slides really smoothly when open and closed. The weight is alright, does not feel cheap made. The clip could be abit deeper, but its very acceptable. All in all super knife for its price, and it very beautiful. I thank you Kershaw, Rexford and Knifecenter for the possibility to have the knife.
