EMERSON + KERSHAW MEANS TOP FUNCTION, FIT & FINISH

Kershaw Knives and Emerson Knives have joined forces on a series of knives that combine the precision engineering of Kershaw with Emerson's uncompromising functional design.

The CQC-6K features a modified clip-point blade for versatile cutting ability. The blade has two finishes: a satin finish on the grind and a stonewashed finish on the upper. The handle's front scale of textured G-10 offers a secure grip and the handle's stainless steel back has a solid frame lock.

The CQC-6K is a manual opener using either the thumb disk or the patented Emerson "wave shaped feature." This opening feature enables the knife to be opened as it is removed from the pocket. By the time the knife has been fully withdrawn from the pocket, the blade is deployed and ready for use. A small wave-shaped tab on the top of the blade is built to catch on the pocket seam, opening the knife as it comes out of the pocket. This instant-open feature is a favorite among military, rescue, and law enforcement knife users.

This knife design based off the Emerson Endeavor model without the thumb hole and the pocketclip is reversible for left- or right-handed carry.
Features
  • Manual - There is no mechanical assist, such as SpeedSafe, used to open the folding knife. It opens the classic, old-school way.
  • Frame Lock - A portion of the handle (the knife frame) moves behind the blade to lock it into position during use. This is a safety feature of the knife.
  • Reversible - Pre-drilled holes in the handle enable the user to change either the tip position or the side on which the knife carries.

Affordable Emerson
I own an Emerson CQC 7B that was made over a dozen years ago that is still working like new. When I saw that Kershaw had joined with Emerson to sell an close styled copy I said what the heck, try it. Received my order quickly from Knife Center and was impressed with the quality and value this knife is. The knife impressed me at every level that turned this one into my EDC and will be ordering more Kershaw/Emersons very soon. I couldn't find a "con" to list because when remember the price I paid and know that its not a custom Emerson its hard to find a reason to complain.

GOOD KNIFE, GREAT PRICE.
Saw Knife Center had this one on sale and decided to give it a try. Nice knife! Sits well in the hand. A little handle heavy, but feels good. Decent grip on the G10 side. Locks up good and tight with about fifty percent lockup. No blade play in any direction. Shaving sharp out of the box. Opens and closes easily with the disc. I don't use the Wave much, but it works as advertised. Like the two tone finish on the blade. Feels good and sturdy, should give good long service. Thanks Knife Center for the great price. For $25, you ought to try it, I think you'll like it.
