The word "TSUME" means claw in Japanese. This is one of Kanetsune's new generation knives. The handle of the knife is wrapped with OD green nylon parachute cord and it has perfect balance for your toughest chores. We use Japanese high carbon steel so called "Blue Steel" made by Hitachi metal, which is the most finest steel manufacture in Japan. The knife comes with a Japanese traditional-style wooden scabbard.

Kanetsune Tsume 4.72" Damascus Blade, Parachute Code Wrapped Handle
Carry knife. Love the look and shape and form follows function...very sharp & pointy. Not sure I like the cord wrapped handle as the raised area in the middle where the cord twines may take some getting use to. Would have preferred wood or G10 scales. Some of the edges of the knife (not blade edge) were too edgy so I filed them down easily enough. I would also have preferred are deeper index finger groove or a longer guard so hand won't slip forward onto blade. Spine of blade was unevenly finished. Sheath looks nice but is horrible for real use...insecure, slow to use, noisy.

Steel Claw
This knife has replaced my other Kanetsune knife in my kit. It's lightweight, sharp right out of the box, and easy to grip. The only thing I'd change about it would be the finish, but other than than, It's a flawless knife.
