KUKI3404A1: Ki3404A1 Activ Bantam Folding Knife, Skull
Kizer Cutlery
Not a lightweight by any means, the Active Bantam will face any challenge head on. The handles are made from 6Al4V titanium with a unique skull pattern that is not only great to look at but provides a bit of additional grip. The compact design of the knife allows it to easily fit in your pocket and hold securely with a tip-down, right-carry pocket clip. The blade is crafted from S35VN stainless steel with a stonewashed finish for a rugged and worn in look. S35VN is a high grade steel with exceptional edge retention and wear resistance. The flipper features a frame lock, two thumb studs for one handed opening, lanyard hole, and moderate jimping on the spine.

Kizer uses high-tech wire EDM machines to cut the parts. This method is slower than laser or water jet but Kizer feels quality is worth the wait. Each component in Kizer knives is precision machined and engineered to the finest tolerances. The final fit, finish, action, and sharpness of each knife is achieved entirely by hand, employing the irreplaceable craftsmanship developed by generations of cutlery masters. Dedicated craftsman honoring the long term goal of making the best knives possible is what Kizer brings to you.

Pocket Clip
Includes a pocket clip for easy accessibility and a more secure carry.
A tougher steel than S30V, it retains the excellent corrosive properties and ability to take an edge, but improves on the ability to hold that edge.

A nonferrous metal, it's prized for its high strength to weight ratio and is often used on higher end knives.

Pros: Lock Type, Handle Material, Handle Feel, Blade Sharpness, Blade Material, Ease of Opening, Weight, Lock Ease of Use, Overall Quality
Cons: None
Was looking for something a little smaller than most of my other knives for when I'm not working, and this one seems to fit the bill perfectly. The three inch blade is still plenty big for most things and isn't to thin. Handles are nice and slim and how ever they finished them gives a decent grip for a smooth handle. That may change as they wear in the pocket, but for now, they have more grip than any of my other smooth handle knives. Even though this is a smaller knife, the handles are long enough to give good purchase. Blade is extremely sharp out of the box. Perfect blade centering. Nice early lockup, about ten percent, with no blade play and no lock stick. Takes a little wrist flick to open with the flipper right now, but with some use, feels like it should wear in nicely on the bronze washers. With the studs, it fires right open due to nice placement. Good jimping on the spine of the blade and top of the handles. I've read that some don't like the skulls, so if you don't, they offer the same knife with plain handles, so stop complaining and buy that one. It's a great knife! This is my third Kizer, and they haven't disappointed yet. Thanks Kizer for building some great, affordable knives. They are up there with a lot of other knives costing a lot more. Want to try their Vanguard series to see what the quality is like on them, so many choices though. That's a good thing. Thanks to Knife Center for their great selection and excellent service.
