KUKI401X2: Ki401X2 V3 Folding Knife, Purple Rainbow Titanium
Kizer Cutlery
"Veni, Vidi, Vici" - those immortal words of Julius Caesar were the inspiration for the V3 model line. It was the model that established Kizer as a force to be reckoned with in today's knife market. The Kizer V3 flipper is a perfect everyday carry (EDC). The handles are made from purple rainbow anodized 6Al4V titanium with an Anso-like milling pattern that not only looks great but provides some additional traction for your fingers. The slender design of the knife allows it to easily fit in your pocket and the ergonomics are absolutely fantastic. The blade is crafted from CPM-S35VN stainless steel with a stonewashed finish for a rugged and worn in look. S35VN is a high-grade steel with exceptional edge retention and wear resistance. The flipper features a frame lock, two thumb studs for one-handed opening, titanium pocket clip, lanyard hole, a flipper tab with mild jimping, and moderate jimping on the spine.

Kizer uses high-tech wire EDM machines to cut the parts. This method is slower than laser or water jet but feel quality is worth the wait. Each component in Kizer knives are precision machined and engineered to the finest tolerances. The final fit, finish, action, and sharpness of each knife is achieved entirely by hand, employing the irreplaceable craftsmanship developed by generations of cutler masters. Dedicated craftsman honoring the long-term goal of making the best knives possible is what Kizer brings to you.

Pros: Blade Sharpness, Lock Type, Ease of Opening, Lock Ease of Use, Overall Quality
Cons: None
Well made Beautiful knife.
The knife is beautiful. The fit and finish on mine is excellent. At this price I would highly recommend it. Only rated 4 stars for the following reasons; the flipper only opens it 25%, a lite flick of the wrist opens it completely, and my hands sweat a lot so the scales do become a little slippery. All said I doubt this would be the choice for a true tactical folder. For display or to simply carry an eye catching knife it would be hard to beat, not so expensive that if it was lost you'd be crushed. I'm very pleased.

Good review with some cons
I bought this knife for my girlfriend for Valentine's Day so she could carry around and she loves it with some minor complaints. For one, I would have liked to know that the flipper tab doesn't open the blade all the way it just barely kicks it open and you have to do the rest. Not a huge deal but in some situations that could be handy. Second, when carrying the knife on the outside of her jeans my girlfriend has complained that it has opened on its own and she had felt the blade poking her stomach. Luckily it was just a poke and nothing more. Other than that the knife overall is beautiful! The blade is oiled and extremely sharp out of the box. It comes with a nice carrying case and cleaning cloth too for an extra bonus!

Great value
I briefly enjoyed this knife and was relatively satisfied with the craftsmenship. The fit and finish are about perfect except for the slightest inconsistencies the scales lining up. You honestly wouldn't know without staring at multiple angles and careful strokes along them. The anodizing is very sexy and unique for a price in this range. It feels solid in the hand (no blade play/ good lockup) but the grip is only OK in my opinion. I like the idea of dual Ti scales but in practice I find it amplifies any moisture your hands produce while holding it almost making it slippery at times. There are also some light hot spots from the anso pattern on the scales. I think the handle makes this knife more for showing off and light use vs a tactical folder. The kicker for me was that the blade grind on the one I received was offset to one side of the blade, this bugged me enormously. I assume this could be a lemon tho, all in all, I think this is more a collectors piece if you really dig those anodized scales, but for anything beyond that it would not fit my needs. The clip is ehh too haha but it does the job xD. Hope this helps.
