MILKBBTT1: Jason Breeden Butterfly Knife
This knife has everything you want in a balisong. The CNC machined G10 handle has an excellent texture that not only feels comfortable in the hand but also offers great grip. The action on the knife is smooth and utilizes a magnetic locking system on the handles instead of a traditional latch. The blade is made from N690Co stainless steel hardened to 58-60 on the Rockwell hardness scale.

Jason Breeden earned distinction as the knife designer who creates odd-shaped blades with his first knife, the Captain. Critics changed their tune after using the Captain and experiencing its pure functionality, and dismissing its quirky appearance as inconsequential. His second collaboration, the Rescue, is equally unconventional. Like all Breeden designs, it reflects Jason’s hard-use outdoor experiences in the Appalachian Mountains. "My designs are born from need I've experienced. I live in the Appalachian Mountains and am regularly outdoors."

Cons: Sheath, Pocket Clip, None
Nice work knife!
This is a work edc for me and used for a variety of heavier duty tasks such as cutting leather, canvas, cardboard, nylon webbing & cordura. It also turns sticks into marking stakes. As it's the knife I have with me it also gets used for opening bags & boxes, cutting tape and cord and slicing apples. It was even pressed into service to slice a pizza we had delivered to a training site. The grind makes it a great slicer/parer. The finish is classic mil-tac - tough and kinda slippery with a greenish grayish sorta black. The handles are grippy and comfortable in both open and closed positions with the g10 providing grip and warmth and the metal liners providing rigidity and strength. The red liners add a little extra edge of cool. The finger choil (when opened) and guard are really nice...adding quite a bit to utility, tactile reference and safety. The prybar/tang looks functional though I haven't had occasion to try it yet. The pivot screws needed loc-tite but once adjusted, frog lubed and broken in (took about a week) have held fast with no detectable handle play, quite a trick for a bali. As a bali I doubt it would win any prizes for the ultra fancy flipping some use balis for. That being is a more than adequate flipper for basic forward and reverse grip openings/closings. No issues with the magnetic "latching". No sheath but it's been living in my front uniform pocket with no issues for three weeks now. I like this knife a whole lot and will continue to edc it at work.

Cons: Ease of Opening
Solid Modern Butterfly
I really like this knife and have not been able to put it down since it came in. The action is smooth and tight. The build quality is second to none. The magnetic lock holds tight which is both a pro and a con it will not come apart in your pocket but it does take practice to flip open and closed (not as simple as a traditional lock) Overall a great knife
