Pros: Usability, Stitching, Functionality, Material Quality
More than a normal strong good looking bag
I am a diabetic patient and having my medication stuff, insulin, glucometer, syringes is very important. Others Maxpedition can do this job as well, but into this one I also integrate the Gerber Survival Kit, Leatherman Monarch 300 LED flashlight and some standard medication and the Leatherman Style CS multitool knife still having space for more. I still can put more First Aid items if needed and some paracord, 15 ft., easy without over loading it yet. The main zipper is very hard, you can pull it hard without any broken fear at all. The most important feature, everything is secure, nothing fall from the bag when you open it. I am still impress and love to move all my diabetic stuff this way with me. When not in my Malaga backpack, it is just use with a nice knot black nylon 1/4 inch rope strap on me using the D rings. If you need to carry something light or smaller, the Barnacle or the M-5 may be a better option. But as a complete small survival and First Medical Kit, this is a very hard to exceed. I am sure. Note, for the insulin refrigeration needs, it can be maintain stable under 86 degree F without problem, so do not let it under direct Sun or inside the car at parking. The black color is a balance accepted option for all every day use. Still khaki, may be a good option, but black never let you go wrong. Also, I can see it easy against my Malaga khaki bag. Remember I am not a military man, just a normal citizen that like the hard well made items that do the job well, Maxpedition do not fail me.
