1095 Carbon Steel
1095 Carbon Steel
An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for its extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel (it will rust) and most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.
Lockback
Lockback
The lockback system has been used for many decades. It can usually be found on the knife spine and it provides a strong lockup that will wear well.
Nylon Sheath
Nylon Sheath
Durable, flexible, abrasion and mildew resistant, Nylon also is very strong
Zytel Handles
Zytel Handles
A nylon polymer that is lightweight and extremely durable, Zytel can be shaped and textured to provide excellent grip.

GOOD BUT HARD TO OPEN
I READ ALL THE REVIEWS ON THIS KNIFE ,BOTH GOOD AND BAD AND I FOUND THAT ALTHOUGH THE KNIFE IS A BIT HARD TO OPEN ONE HANDED (I GUESS THAT GUY JEREMY IS MORE BRAUN THAN FINESS) ITS MADE OF DECENT STEEL AND SHOULD WORK WELL.

he was right
the guy who said these knives were hard to open was right, the steel is good and the handle is comfortable but the knife is next to impossible to open one handed, the boy who said to do some curls just got lucky and got a good one while us others did not, overall though the knife is usable if though a little expensive.
