ESEE Knives

Since 1997 Randall's Adventure & Training has designed no-nonsense, affordable field knives specifically targeted to military, law enforcement, and the special operations community. Many of their knives now serve in combat zones around the globe. The knives have a "no questions asked" lifetime warranty. ESEE Knives is also setting the standard for many local, state and federal law enforcement officers when it comes to high performance, compact sheath knives with multiple carry options. The NTOA scored the 3-inch fixed blade a 4.77 out of a possible 5. In addition to knives, ESEE also offers survival, land navigation, tracking and other training courses along with free survival information.

The ESEE-5 was designed by military SERE instructors as a hard-use downed pilot’s survival knife. With its 0.25" blade thickness, it's a big fixed blade that's tough, durable and practical. These knives are made from high carbon 1095 steel. And while 1095 is a top choice for professional cutlery designed for hard use, it will rust and stain if not properly cared for - especially on the cutting edge and around the laser engraving. It is the user's responsibility to keep the blades properly lubricated and cleaned. We suggest using a dry film rust inhibitor such as TUF-GLIDE or TUF-CLOTH. The handles have Micarta scales that are durable and water resistant. The knife also features spine jimping, full tang construction, lanyard hole, and a glass breaker. The knife comes with a Kydex sheath, clip plate, paracord lanyard, and cord lock.

1095 Carbon Steel
1095 Carbon Steel
An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for its extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel (it will rust) and most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.
Kydex Sheath
Kydex Sheath
Waterproof, scratch resistant, and low friction. It will hold its shape and makes a great alternative to leather.
Micarta Handles
Micarta Handles
Micarta is a compressed layered composite sealed within a thermosetting plastic which creates a strong, attractive material that is impervious to water.

Top Bushcraft Knife
If you want to have one knife with you to cover a maximum amount of tasks, this might be the knife for you. Fits in the hand like a glove, well balanced and heavy. A good chopper. Nice thick full tang. Small enough for fine tasks and carving. You could even field dress a Deer with it if pressed. Quality fit and finish and a extremely tough finish coating. Nice Sheath. Buy It!

Best knife purchase yet
I have been looking at this knife for quite sometime. I absolutely love the olive on the blade and the micarta handles are superior quality. I am an avid camper/hiker and use my blades harshly, and this blade has surpassed any expectations I had. The .25" blade gives me the confidence that it can withstand anything and it's paired with a great kydex sheath. The knife may be a bit on the heavier side for minimalists, but it's worth the extra weight, trust me.
