This knife is a 6" Sleipner tool steel, PVD-coated, laser-engraved fixed blade with bone Micarta scales and is limited to 250 individually numbered pieces. It is manufactured in Italy from 60HRC tool steel and features a pry bar and wire stripper. The Raven comes with a deluxe Italian leather sheath and is beautifully gift boxed and will be featured on the back cover of the December 2012 issue of Blade Magazine (on newstands 9/11/12).
About Sleipner Steel
Sleipner steel is a chromium-vanadium-molybdenum alloy (7% Cr, 0.5% V, 2.5% Mo) much like D2 steel and characterized by its edge retention, ease of sharpening, and resistance to wear and chipping. The Sleipner steel also has excellent “tooth” for repetitive, fine cutting.
