Can't beat it for the price!
I have been hunting for over 43 years. For the last 20+ years my 1141 has been my go to knife for field dressing, skinning and quartering. I have owned hundreds of knifes, almost ever brand imaginable plus some custom ones as well. When you consider price for functionality, none of them can hold a candle to the 1141. The first time I saw a safety grip Schrade I thought, 'What is that, a rubber handled piece of junk?'. I changed my mind in seconds once I got my hands on it while field dressing a whitetail. I know it has saved me from dozens of nicks and cuts over the years. It won't win any beauty contest or get any compliments in hunting camp but I guarantee you won't find a more functional, sharpenable hunting knife for $20. Makes a wonderful gift for a young and/or inexperienced hunter. I've given away dozens of them!
