SCH502: 502 Aluminum Tactical Folder, Plain Blade
The Schrade 500 series of knives are tactically built utility folders with both style and function. The handle is a comfortably contoured aluminum with multiple runs of jimping for a secure hold in various grips. The thumb studs work equally as well as the flipper and the knife has the added bonus of a glass breaker on the butt end. This is a great knife design and is good looking to boot with the matte finished aluminum handle and stonewashed blade. Although the pocketclip is stuck in a single position, we are excited here at knifecenter.com to bring you these knives which we feel are excellent designs for the price!

Quality exceeds price point
The flipper is very smooth when opening and safe to close. I bought an $80 CRKT flipper that has ball bearings that is nowhere as smooth as this. Knife comes very sharp from the factory and cuts cardboard like butter. The stonewashed look is great, feels good in my hand (I have small hands) and the weight is perfect. It is my everyday EDC and I just love flipping this knife open! It is very well made, no movement at all when opened and feels solid. I wish I had spent the $80 on the other knife buying more of these Schrade knifes. I am really impressed by Schrade's quality and price point. You can't go wrong!

Great Value
For the money, this is a very nice knife for EDC. Comes out of the box with a pretty decent edge on it and handles everything from opening the mail to cutting up cardboard boxes. The opening mechanism, including the flipper, have really loosened up as I have used it. After a couple of weeks of use the flipper is easily operated with either hand and the blade locks up very securely.
