1095 Carbon Steel
1095 Carbon Steel
An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for its extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel (it will rust) and most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.
Kydex Sheath
Kydex Sheath
Waterproof, scratch resistant, and low friction. It will hold its shape and makes a great alternative to leather.
Pocket Clip
Pocket Clip
Includes a pocket clip for easy accessibility and a more secure carry.
Steel Handles
Steel Handles
Stainless Steel knife handles provide strength and durability and look and feel great.

Pros: Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness, None
Cons: Sheath/Scabbard
Feels good
I bought this knife because I wanted something other than my regular folders for everyday carry. The Schrade came quite sharp out of the box but with a ceramic sharpener it became even better. For a neck knife it´s a bit on the large side but I knew that beforehand. Handle is ok, but with a paracord wrapping it´s good. The sheath holds the knife ok but not tight enough in my opinion. Overall a nice looking knife that does the trick.

I purchased this knife to replace a smaller neck knife I've used in the past. I have had it for about a week, so it's seen only minimal use so far. It came reasonably sharpened for a production model, only needing a little stropping to smooth the edge. I would like to see the handle extended to allow all four fingers to have purchase on it, but it is what it is. The bottle opener on the end is not of particular use to me. The sheath is made of plastic, with a belt/pocket clip and comes with a bead necklace. It holds the knife well when used with the clip, but is not very secure when inverted and worn around the neck. As a test I dropped the knife while holding the necklace in my other hand and it fell out completely. If dropped from half the necklace length, it took 2-3 drops to fall out. I believe they could make the sheath more secure. Overall, I believe it to be a good combination knife and plan to use it outdoors to see how well it holds up. At this point, I would recommend it.
