Just to add to my other review here. Be forewarned this is not a good candidate for batoning wood if you put any differential force between the handle and the blade. The actual blade shank is only about an inch long, flat and with threads only on its edges to thread to the round extension that goes through the handle and holds plastic grip on with a 5mm allen head bolt. There was some kind of goop on the threads when I first took it apart to help keep it from loosening. Extension has two flats on it for a open end wrench and easily came off. Only time would tell if even heavy chopping might break it at that joint area.. Don't know if mil-spec bayonet is made the same? With it all assembled, seems sturdy enough, for it's intended purpose and using a Triple R Products adaptor, very intimidating on end of 16" barrel AR.

Should make excellent dive or boat knife..420J2 SS
Just ordered this have not got it yet.. But, OK it is a cheaper knock off of the Ontario M9/ OKC3S hybrid. But look, it is 420J2 a cheap Stainless but extremely corrosion proof. Has a very good retention sheath and a large barrel ring to attach a where I'm I going with this,,, makes a good large dive knife. Going on to my life vest for Ocean Kayak fishing....It can also be taken apart to completely clean and oil under the grip. My other Schrade knives have been excellent, and from vids. I've looked at this should be too.

awsome knife
this knife is acceptably sharp. good for camping and outdoors ( of course its a bayonet). the handle grip is very nice, but may dig into your skin. very good alternative to the Ontario, has a nice weight too. sadly the metal clip that holds it inside the scabbard scratches the blade.
