SM042140: File & Wire Series 042140 Gunstock Jack Pt.
Schatt & Morgan
This preeminent series of elegant "old school" classics embodies the very best in American craftsmanship and superb SCHATT & MORGAN styling. For the discriminating user and collector, there is no better choice than SCHATT & MORGAN! The "File & Wire Tested" mark was employed over 70 years ago to insure the hardness of a blade by cutting it with a new file and then testing the edge by cutting a wire of known consistency and hardness. This gunstock jack features two blades measuring 2-7/8" and comes in at 6-3/8" overall. It's definitely a well built piece of cutlery with serious cutting power. Quantities are limited!

David Clark began his interest in pocket knives as a boy in the Ozark Mountains of North Arkansas. While a passionate collector of pocket knives over the past 30 years, David also developed a strong desire to learn the history of cutlery manufacturers. In the mid 1990's, David became acquainted with Schatt & Morgan after he purchased a few S&M reproduction knives. This in turn, spurred his interest in Queen Cutlery, the manufacturer of these Schatt & Morgan reproductions he owned, and the history of Queen Cutlery and its forerunner Schatt & Morgan Cutlery. David has contributed research and cutlery artifacts for several publications on the history of Schatt & Morgan Cutlery and The Dollar Knife Corporation. David has acquired two historic Schatt & Morgan knife catalogs, one published in 1903 and the other circa 1908.
