Pros: Lock Type, Pocket Clip, Handle Feel, Blade Sharpness, Blade Material, Handle Material, Weight, Ease of Opening, Overall Quality
Cons: None
It is now my EDC
I used to carry my Spyderco Delica as my EDC but I prefer a flipper. My ZT knives are great but heavy. They are my special use knives. This knife is a nice size and lightweight making it easy to carry all the time. Its flipper is smooth and blade drops free when I close it. Most of my knife collection is Spyderco's, Kershaws and ZT. Yet the Modus is the one I carry every day. Grip stays put in your hand and no hot spots, at least for my hands. Sharp as can be and it does everything I ask it too. You will not be disappointed if you buy this. The problem I have with small frame locks is that you have to be very careful where you place your fingers of the knife will not flip open due to pressure on the lock. I have become a fan of liner locks again especially after watching a video where a liner lock was strongest out of all the other lock types currently in use. It surprised the testers and me.

Blade sticks, off-center, but decent overall
My knife was badly off-center. Worse, if I haven't flipped it for awhile, it sticks so badly I can't flip it open. Once I get it to open once it will flick open fine, but it is disappointing. Besides those flaws, excellent and ergonomic knife, FANTASTIC blade shape, very good steel, a real bargain for the price. SW just needs to improve their QC.
