Spartan Blades
Spartan Harsey Hunter - This is Spartan Blades second collaboration with world renowned knife maker, William "Bill" Harsey. Our combined goal was to make a knife that would serve double duty by providing service as a combat knife and as a hunting knife. The blade profile, top bevels and main blade hollow grind of this full tang knife work well on either the battlefield or cleaning a trophy buck. Our intent was to make a knife that a service member could carry in combat and use after returning from war when camping and hunting. Bevels are hand ground by Bill Harsey. Handle scales are 3D machined to ultra tight tolerance from 3/8" canvas Micarta to provide a comfortable and sure grip. This knife will serve you well no matter what you are hunting.

Great knife designed by a legend
This is a great knife. It is well made and very ergonomic. While it is not inexpensive, even compared to other Spartan blades, you have to realize that it is hand ground by Bill Harsey. Check out the price on a custom Harsey (if you can find one) and you will get a idea of why it costs what it does. I find it to be a perfect length and thickness for an all around field and hunting knife. It is not a sharpened pry bar like may "tactical" knives on the market, and I find the handle to be comfortable to use unlike the slab handles that are on most knives today. The sheath is well thought out and is well made. It has a nice belt loop in addition to the MOLLE attachment system. Overall it is a well thought out knife made by a great company and one of the legends in the knife making world

Fantastic Craftsmanship
I read the other two reviews that are posted here and I dont know why you would spend $500.00 on a Knife you Obviously no nothing about . I own 4 Spartan Harsey Knives they all come with a Spec ops sheath as clearly stated in the knifes description. As for the Sharpness of the blade all 4 mine arrived shaving sharp and ready to perform. Now to address the Micarta Scales you either like Micarta or you dont its a fabulous man made material that is very durable and offers great grip retention. The Hunter is perfect for everyday chores from food prep in camp to skinning a Buck to Bushcraft work I use mine for all of the above.Bottom line is if you didnt already know these things you should do some research before you spend $500.00 bucks on a knife dont blame the Knife and its Quality for your lack of knowledge.

Spartan/Harsey Hunter
Nice sturdy semi-custom hunting/ tactical knife. Nice heft, blade grind. Would like to have known about the " worn look" of the handle scales.
