Pros: Overall Quality, Durability, None
Cons: Carry Position
Beware of falling tools :(
Solid material. Good fit. But I don't trust it to keep the tomahawk in the holster, compared to an "old school" leather sheath that opens at the top. The swivel flap does not lock tight enough to keep it secure when I'm working in tight spaces. The nylon sheath that came with the tool was worse..a little tug on the handle would open the snaps and the tool would fall out. Don't need to lose my rescue tool in a burning building. I added a strap & snap to the pivot flap on this rig, and now I trust it enough to wear the tool with my interior firefighting turnout gear. You can do something similar with velcro or a strong cord looped through the top eyelet and under the pivot tab. SOG needs to re-design this for the work world.
