SOGSAT101: SAT101 Mini Flashback
SOG Knives
SOG continues to expand their line of assisted openers, and with good reason. Their assist technology is as fast as anyone’s in the business, and their styling is all SOG. The Mini Flashbacks are smaller versions of the very popular Flashback models that have been in the SOG lineup for quite some time.
A smaller version of the award-winning Flashback, this lightweight little knife is a super quick assisted opening model that’s strong enough and fast enough to take on everything life throws at you.
Last year, SOG introduced its Flashback to rave reviews. The larger Flashback captured various awards and the Mini could, too, for packing so much in such a small package. Yes, the Mini is a smaller choice, but, like its bigger and older brother, it still utilizes SOG’s most advanced version of patented Assisted Technology. The 3" blade is made of durable AUS-8 stainless steel while its low profile, light weight, stylish look and a reversible pocket clip make it a perfect choice for everyday carry.

Not the SOG I know and love =(
First let me say I've purchased/owned no small number of SOG blades and I'm a huge fan, but I wish I had listened to the other reviewer about this knife. I just assumed, when he said it's hard to open, he was maybe 15 or I don't know, had never handled a knife in his life. WRONG. I haven't busted out the gear to test the LB PSI required to open this blade, but it's ridiculous to the point that there is absolutely no way one can do so reliably in anything close to quickly. That alone makes it useless, which is sad because other than that I would say it's a cool knife but unlike the rest of my SOG knives this feels flimsy and cheap. Also, my knife just like the other reviewer's, came out of the box with a blade that wiggles about 3mm either direction. This is not the SOG I know and love. Don't ignore the reviews like I did and burn almost 70 bucks, even if you ARE rich, you'll be disappointed and if, like me, you work for a living you'll be more than disappointed.

Maybe I got a Lemon
I was so happy to get my flashback from Knifecentre at the office. My collegues said it look really nice. That was until I opened the package and pulled it out. The assisted opening did not work. I just came out half way and got stuck there. Then it was hell to unlock the arc and get it closed. Maybe I just got a Lemon. But this is my most disappointing knife purchase in a long line of knives. Sucks big time.
