Description
SP168GP: C168GP Battlestation
Spyderco

Designed by Alexandru Diaconescu, known to knife enthusiasts as “Dialex,” the Battlestation is a folding knife built for extreme performance. Its hybrid tanto-style blade is saber ground from VG-10 stainless steel and features a sweeping point, an index-finger choil, and an unsharpened swedge. A sturdy back lock mechanism anchors it to a handle constructed of full stainless steel liners and textured black G-10 scales. It features a reversible wire clip configured for tip-up carry. An impressive synthesis of functional ergonomics and futuristic style, the Battlestation commands attention.

Pros: Weight, Handle Feel, Overall Quality
Cons: None
Perfect for EDC
with places like Disney allowing you to carry a knife if the blade is under 3" I moved to this knife. I am 6' 6" and 240 and this knife fits my hands well, but it also fits my daughters hands. My only gripe is I have carried a Police model spyderco for over 25 years and am used to the clip being on the top of the knife and not the bottom, but I am adapting.

Pros: Pocket Clip, Lock Type, Ease of Opening, Handle Feel, Handle Material, None
Cons: Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness
Great ergonomics but poor overall design
I loved this knife aesthetically and when I wrapped my hands around it, i fell in love with it even more. No matter how I held the knife, it filled my hand and was always secure. However when I got to using it, I found the blade to have to much belly for being a great slicer for how short and thick of the blade you actually have to use. The tanto tip is great for stabbing but hurts the slicing action even more since it reduced your cutting edge to rough 2 inches coupled with the finger choil (which is otherwise great ergo-wise). So overall, a great little knife if you just want a small defense knife but as far as edc, definitely not recommended.

Battlestation for EDC
The Battlestation met my needs for a sturdy every-day-carry knife. The locking action is stiff, making for very slow one-hand-opening but providing a very secure lockup. The handle is solid and well shaped. The blade shape at first seemed a bit too flashy, but along with good handle ergonomics, provides a surprisingly good level of control for precise cutting.
