SP36TIFP: C36TIF Ti-Mil Fluted Military with Titanium Handles

No Spyderco folder has lent itself better to innovation and variation than the Military Model. Using this model, Spyderco produced a parade of unique renditions with upgraded blade steels, handle colors and materials. It's considered to be Spyderco's poster child, putting a face to their commitment to C.Q.I. - Constant Quality Improvement. The latest is the Ti-Mil Fluted Military Model.

The Ti-Mil Fluted features the original's ergonomics and function with an artist's eye aimed at making it as attractive as it is practical. Its titanium front scale is channeled in a seashell pattern.

The titanium back scale doubles as a R.I.L. - Reeve Integral Lock with the scale functioning as a spring, locking the blade open. Adopting the handle scale as part of the lock eliminates needing internal handle liners and the folder can be manufactured slimmer and lighter in profile while retaining strength. Further enhancing Reeve's lock design is a stainless steel insert, positioned and double pinned, where the lock engages, and safeguarding consistent solid lock-up.

Its CPM S30V PlainEdge flat ground blade has an oversized Spyderco Round Hole supporting one-hand deployment even in a gloved hand. Choil and spine jimping create tactile resistance for better control by stopping forward or backward slipping when sawing or cutting aggressively. Open handle construction makes it convenient for maintaining and cleaning accumulated dirt and debris collected inside the folder by flushing with water or compressed air. Proudly manufactured in Golden, Colorado.

The Ti-Mil Fluted Military Model is uncomplicated, functional and field-ready exemplifying everything Spyderco reaches to accomplish: quality, reliability and function.

Cons: Lock Type, Pocket Clip, None
Great Knife But You Gotta Pay For It
Great knife! You will love it! Get one! Unless you are into smooth handles get the fluted handles. They are still pretty smooth. The knife has a great blade with plenty of length but not too much. I was surprised how flat it it rode in my pocket and how lite it was with all of it's length. With the wide open design the thing is practically dishwasher safe. But it cost more than my first car so I have the obligation to point out everything wrong with it. My only real complaint is the pocket clip. The knife is riding too high and it can poke a bit when you bend over or sit down. Also it rides tip down. The bottom curve of the clip catches easily on things like a seat belt or the bottom seam of my shirt. (Did I mention it was awesome?) I am not a fan of a liner lock but it has not let me down yet. It was a tough call for me to choose between this knife the 4 Max or the Espada. I am happy with my choice.

Authentic Spyderco Knives from knifecenter.com
I could not be more pleased ! I received a authentic Spyderco, Military model, NO Asian knockoffs here ! The shipping was fast...there was a glitch with my address, where the Postal Service updated my address and put the wrong number on the package...the Great Folks at knifecenter.com went the extra mile by contacting the P.O. in my home town, advising them of the error...because of this extra dedication and care of the people at knifecenter.com , my knife came to me with no problems...knifecenter.com is now my "Go-To" source for my needs. You cannot go wrong here ! D. Wood

No regrets
Great for EDC, backpack etc, high quality, great blade steel. This knife is good for food prep, carving, handy when needed on the trail, overall a great knife for a variety of uses. The fluting could have been a little more pronounced, because of the pocket clip positioned places the lanyard hole in the depth of the pocket and not my preference. I like lanyards and think having it in the depth of my pocket doesn't make sense. Not a deal breaker, overall a great knife. Light in weight I like larger knives and this fits the bill, not too large. Spyderco did this one right. I recommend
