Very close
I love the weighty feel with the behemoth blade. My only hang up is that of blade deployment ease. A protrusion from the blade to be able to flip it out would make this a perfect knife.

A true American tanto
This is the epitome of the American tanto. First of all it is 4mm thick and remains thick until that downward taper to the tip. Also there is no curve in the blade, it uses straight lines. Which is what I want in my tanto. However there are two small issues with the knife. The G-10 isn't that great when you compare it too a Spyderco and the blade finish wears faster than expected for a thrusting design. I don't even see those to issue to be worth knocking the grade down to 4. I love it.
